Kosher Weddings Spain (KWS) was founded by Scott Gibbons, a seasoned wedding planner rooted in Jewish heritage and a profound love for creating meaningful celebrations.
Raised in North West London within an Ashkenazi family, Scott's upbringing was steeped in Jewish traditions. His parents' Orthodox marriage, complete with a Ketubah from the London Beth Din, reflects his deep familial ties to these customs. The family's history traces back to Cordoba, Andalucia, once a vibrant hub of Jewish life until the Inquisition forced them to flee through Portugal and Holland, eventually settling in London.
Scott's connection to Spain isn't just historical—it's deeply personal. Since 1999, he has called Spain home, immersing himself in its rich Sephardic culture. Building strong ties within the Jewish community, he seamlessly blends his Ashkenazi roots with the traditions of Sephardic Spain. His career in event planning began at 16 in London, where his passion for orchestrating memorable events and impeccable hospitality took root. Moving to Spain further honed his skills, focusing particularly on Jewish weddings and delivering authentic, top-tier kosher experiences for couples celebrating their special day in Spain.
